Description
A licence plate used in the production of the ABC hit TV show Desperate Housewives. The show follows a group of women living on the seemingly idyllic Wisteria Lane, struggling with their own life challenges in day-to-day family life.
This number plate was used in the opening episode of season 5, fitted to the Cadillac Escalade of Wisteria Lane resident Susan Meyer (Teri Hatcher) as it crashed into a passing car in the episode’s opening minutes, the car wreck ultimately leading to her divorce from Mike Delfino (James Denton). The plate is made of vacuum formed plastic with the iconic “Eagle State” logo at the top. The licence plate number is 1QU 635, picked out in black paint. Stickers on the face of the plate date it as November 2008, the year season 5 aired in the US. Four holes are drilled into the plate for securing to the vehicle, while a label on the back reads “Susan Wreck SUV”.
Displaying some minor wear from use in the show, the piece remains in very good condition.
