Description
A sword used by the character Azazel (Jason Flemyng) in the production of the Bryan Singer X-Men origin story X-Men First Class. Charting the coming together of Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender), also known as Magneto, the film goes from wartime Auschwitz to 1960s Cuba, with Magneto, Xavier and a young group of mutants banding together to fight the nefarious Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon).pOne of his two trusty blades, this sword was used in Azazels right hand as he fought alongside Shaw throughout the film, both at the CIA facility housing Xaviers recruits and in Cuba in the midst of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Made of hard rubber with a metal armature for stability, the weapon features a long blade that runs down the forearm with ornate devil and dragon-like detailing along the blade and grip. The pommel of the blade is a devils head with a tongue spike made of soft, translucent rubber, while the grip is wrapped in twisted wire.ppDistressed to look like a weathered and well-used blade, the piece remains in an excellent production-used condition with minimal wear from use and time spent in storage, measuring 53cm x 25cm (21 x 10). The piece also comes presented in a beautiful bespoke framed display featuring an image of Jason Flemyng as the character Azazel, the films title graphics, a description of the piece and an opening front panel that allows easy, direct access to the piece. The display measures approximately 89cm x 111cm x 10cm (35 x 43.5 x 4).p
