Description
The survivor Manh (Cung Le) can be seen wielding his sword throughout the movie, fighting off hunters and doing his best to stay alive, with this particular piece used when the farmer embedded his sword in a hunter's head. The weapon features an aggressive metal and rubber blade that is made to look as though it's been put together from scrap metal, and a crescent shape cut out so it sat comfortably on the actor's head for the special effects sequence. The handle is moulded resin sprayed silver, again looking like scrap parts.
The entire piece has been distressed by the production with layers of grime and murky paintwork applied to create something perfectly suited to the hellish nightmare of the Elysium, and even has some of the hunter's prosthetics still stuck around the edge. The piece has a slight bend in the end of the blade but remains in otherwise good production-used condition.
